What is the GSI Course?

Have you ever wondered how a Professional Guardian finds out the history of their clients, especially when the individual cannot share this information themselves? One way to do this is to discover the meaning behind the individual’s personal effects and belongings.

Designed to help participants think inquisitively, develop triage skills, and hone their powers of observation, the GSI course is a simulated “real world” environment of an elderly person’s room.

This setting allows attendees to be hands-on, and touch, smell, feel, and search for dozens of physical items, documents, medical assistance DME items, personal history clues, hidden “treasures,” financial documents, cultural indicators, lifestyle choices, and much more.

Professionals who would benefit from this course include: Home Health folks, RN’s, Physical and Occupational Therapists, APD Support Coordinators, Case Managers, Paralegals, Attorneys, ALF Administrators, Guardians, Case Managers, CPAs, Group Home Owners, SNF Admin Staff, Discharge Planners, Financial Planners, APS Investigators, Law Enforcement, EMT and Fire Fighters – the list goes on and on.

Love the Open House and Reveal? Then come to the course on Wednesday September 18that either 10 am or 2 pm, at the same location. The course is only $15 if you pre-register online, otherwise it is $20 at the event.
